Bird Contemplations 3

This pretty much sums up how I feel this week so I’ll just post it…

We call on the sun that rises in the east

We call on the moon that sets in the west

We call on the north wind and the southern breeze

We call on the ancestors, our grandmothers and grandfathers, all who have come before us

We call on the spiritual conviction of Dr King

We call on the forgiveness of Nelson Mandela

We call on the selflessness of Ghandi Ji

We call on the moral strength of Muhammed Ali

We call on the insight of Elie Wiesel

We call on the vision of Harvey Milk

We call on the bravery of Alice Paul, Rosa Parks, and Mary Wollstonecraft

img_6738We take refuge in the Buddha – We take refuge in the Dhamma – We take refuge in the sangha

May we stand strong with our sisters

May we stand strong with our brothers

May we stay informed and support those who share our love of Mother Earth, compassion for the disenfranchised; who are generous with understanding, kindness, and Truth.

May we know loving-kindness and compassion for those who are not aware or informed; for those who disagree.

img_6743 We commit to protecting our Mother: the earth, rivers, oceans, trees, plants, and all inhabitants.

We commit to protecting our brothers and sisters of all religions and spiritual beliefs.

We commit to protecting love in any form.

We commit to strengthening our hearts, minds, and bodies knowing that we cannot heal others if we aren’t healthy.

We commit to being strength for one another and others when they are feeling weak, knowing that it is our collective strength that binds us.

We commit to faith and hope. We commit to love.

Thanks pal. I’m not sure but I guess this is a compilation of your thoughts on the Presidential Inauguration of Donald Trump. B

Just catching up!! Boy do I need to read this 100 times! Rough weekend, and probably it will be rough a long time without a miracle. There’s a book I want to send you, so I need your address. Hug Paz a few times for me. By the way, would you call him an immigrant?? Love the one about your sweet and generous mom.

    • HI Beverly and thanks so much for the love! Yes I believe he is an immigrant! And trust me when I tell you he supports the American economy (or at least his Mom does for him!). I will send my address in an email. I also want to send you a letter I posted on FB that you may not have seen regarding my response to those who tell me to give DT a chance. Love you!
